{"id":101255,"date":"2020-06-09T22:21:09","date_gmt":"2020-06-10T02:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=101255"},"modified":"2020-06-09T22:21:09","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T02:21:09","slug":"national-museum-of-industrial-history-partners-with-lehigh-valley-manufacturers-for-new-virtual-summer-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=101255","title":{"rendered":"National Museum of Industrial History partners with Lehigh Valley manufacturers for new virtual summer camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BETHLEHEM, PA &#8211; The National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH) is taking its popular summer camp online this summer, beginning July 6th.\u00a0 The week-long programs, a collaboration with the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) and several Lehigh Valley companies, will include hands-on activities, one-on-one instruction, and a chance for participants to hear from young employees who have embarked on successful S.T.E.M. careers.<u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s more important than ever to harness the curiosity and imaginations of budding engineers,\u201d said Kara Mohsinger, President and CEO of the Museum. \u201cWhile we formulate our plans for the future, this virtual summer camp provides a unique opportunity for children to get a behind-the-scenes look at facilities and manufacturers they otherwise may not have a chance to see.\u201d The camp has four separate sessions, each pairing campers with a member of the MRC Dream Team, a group of manufacturing employees across several Lehigh Valley companies who are just starting on their journeys in engineering.<u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Campers will utilize workbooks and supplies included in registration to work on projects with an NMIH educator via video chat.\u00a0 Martin Guitar, Wolsen Construction, Stanley Black and Decker, Mack Trucks, B.
