BETHLEHEM, PA – The National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH) is giving back to healthcare workers who have fought tirelessly to keep our community safe and healthy throughout the coronavirus pandemic through a newly announced \u2018Pay It Forward\u2019 membership campaign.\u00a0\u00a0Retroactive to March 14th<\/sup>, when the museum facility closed to visitors, until the museum reopens any new membership purchased\u00a0will allow the NMIH to provide an employee of St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network with a free one-year family membership.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNon-profits across our region have faced challenges during the COVID-19 outbreak, particularly our frontline healthcare workers,\u201d said Kara Mohsinger, President and CEO of the Museum.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cTheir valiant efforts mitigated a situation that could have put the Lehigh Valley at a much greater risk.\u00a0\u00a0This program is the least we can do to thank them and provide their families with a fun and educational outlet once we\u2019re able to welcome visitors through our doors again.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur St. Luke\u2019s health care heroes sincerely appreciate the outpouring of support they have received during the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d said Patrick Bower, Vice President of Development at St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network.\u00a0 \u201cWe also realize so many of our museums and non-profit organizations are struggling right now and we wish the NMIH much success on their membership drive.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
