BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014 ArtsQuest is pleased to present indie act Guided by Voices \u2013 virtually, for one night only – as part of its ‘2020 World Tour.’ The beloved band will rock out July 17, 5 p.m. \u2018Tickets\u2019 for the show, which people can stream live in their homes, are on sale here<\/a>\u00a0for $20, with the nonprofit ArtsQuest getting a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold.<\/p>\n

Led by Robert Pollard, one of the greatest songwriters of our era, Guided by Voices was formed in the early 1980s in Ohio and\u00a0influenced by a host of sounds ranging from garage rock to post-punk. Among the band\u2019s many recordings are \u201cI Am a Scientist,\u201d \u201cSpace Gun,\u201d \u201cUnder the Bushes,\u201d \u201cDo the Collapse,\u201d \u201cSweating the Plague\u201d and \u201cVampire on Titus.\u201d For more information on the band, visit its\u00a0website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
