Community Mediation & Eviction Diversion Program<\/div>\n

In light of Pennsylvania\u2019s eviction moratorium expiring on August 31st<\/sup>, Lamont McClure reminds residents that Northampton County has approximately $3.6 million available for rental assistance, rapid rehousing and utility payments.\u00a0The Department of Human Services and the Department of Community and Economic Development, worked together to develop the Community Mediation and Eviction Diversion Program (CMED). CMED offers experienced mediators, emergency financial assistance and rapid rehousing to prevent homelessness.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cNorthampton County is ready to assist with conflict management, financial support and education services to resolve eviction disputes and prevent homelessness,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cHousing services are free to low-and-moderate income households and owners of rental units housing low-and-moderate income tenants.\u201d<\/div>\n
