BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS LEHIGH VALLEY\u00a0is looking for compassionate and energetic volunteers to become \u2018Bigs\u2019 for youth ages seven (7) to sixteen (16) in Lehigh and Northampton County. We have approximately 270 Little’s waiting to be matched with a Big. Our matches typically meet twice a month and can participate in activities that they are most interested in. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Bethlehem\u00a0seeks volunteers for Museum Docent who will be responsible for interaction with visitors to ensure they have a safe, enjoyable and enriching experience in our museum. Abilities required include friendly and welcoming demeanor, attention to detail and communication skills. Hours based on availability and desired commitment but prefer minimum of 6-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Minimum age 16. FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem\u00a0needs volunteers to pack boxes of food and personal care items 9AM-noon every Tuesday morning and 9AM-noon or 5-8PM every Thursday. HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS\u00a0need volunteers to donate wrapped shoeboxes filled with age appropriate items for Lehigh Valley\u2019s children in need.\u00a0Suggested gift lists are provided on our website.\u00a0This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center, is a great project for large\/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals.\u00a0To participate, go to\u00a0www.volunteerlv.org\/holiday-hope-chests<\/a>\u00a0and fill out a 2020 Donor Pledge Form.\u00a0Opportunity to collect and wrap empty shoeboxes, too!<\/div>\n

INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK LEHIGH VALLEY\u00a0provides 24\/7 door through door ride service for seniors age 60 and over and visually impaired adults to any destination in the Lehigh Valley.\u00a0In order to provide this service, we need volunteer drivers to help us with the increasing demand for rides.\u00a0All rides in Lehigh Valley only.\u00a0Drive when and where you want.\u00a0No minimum hours required.
