Northampton County\u2019s Emergency Management Services provided logistics and support and the Sheriff\u2019s Department assisted with traffic control. Pennsylvania State Police, Bethlehem Township Police, the Nancy Run Fire Company, Bethlehem Township Emergency Management, PennDOT, and the Northeast Task Force helped with security, safety checks, equipment, and municipal support. Service Electric Cable provided high-speed internet to the site.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cWe\u2019re very thankful to the Department of Health for providing Northampton County with this service,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cFrom the response from the public, and the rising numbers of positive cases in the area, it\u2019s clear our residents needed access to additional testing.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>The County-sponsored COVID-19 drive-through testing site continues to be available at 3100 Emrick Blvd Bethlehem Township, PA 18020. Hours of operation are Monday\/Wednesday\/Friday from 9:00AM \u2013 4:00PM and Tuesday\/Thursday from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. The site is open on every Saturday from 9:00AM \u2013 12:00 Noon. The drive-through testing center is located in the parking area to the rear of the Coordinated Health Building and is separate from patient parking and routine patient care.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>A Physician\u2019s order is not required but, to be eligible for testing, individuals must report or display one or more CDC-recognized symptoms of COVID-19: fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or loss of taste and\/or smell. The drive-through site is open to everyone, but only residents of Northampton County will receive a free test if they do not have health coverage. All testing will be through HNL Lab Medicine unless insurance requires an alternate laboratory.
