Plants are known to boost your mood and we are hoping these poinsettias are a bit of light in what has been an otherwise dark year for many.” The community did not disappoint. DelGrosso posted the fundraiser on social media and Steel City Plant Co. met their goal in 24 hours. People from all across the Lehigh Valley and beyond donated $5 to donate one poinsettia. The post spread quickly and Steel City Plant Co. had 300 plants donated in no time which means every resident at Moravian Village will receive a plant before Christmas.

“I am so incredibly touched by and thankful for the outpouring of support from the community for this initiative. What started as a way to lift the spirits of our local seniors seemed to have lifted the spirits of so many citizens who were happy to join in, spread the word, and send love into their community. It was heartwarming for all involved.” said Angela.

The plants will be delivered to Moravian Village for distribution to their residents a few days prior to Christmas.

Speaking of feel-good community partnerships, Domaci is hosting a holiday food drive benefiting New Bethany Ministries through December 15th. They are collecting non-perishable food items in exchange for discounts at their store. One food item equals one percent off at anything in store or online at Domaci Home up to 20% off. Domaci is also donating $1 per food item donated to New Bethany Ministries.

“Derrick and I realize that even with the hardships that this difficult year has thrown at us, we are still much more fortunate than so many in our community. Knowing that someone might be going to bed hungry because they can’t afford food for their family is distressing enough at any time of the year . . . and even more so during the holidays,” said Clark Home Group co-founder Warren Clark. “For that reason, we’re honored to partner with New Bethany Ministries’ Choice Food Pantry which helped nourish nearly 6,000 people in the Lehigh Valley last year.”

LINKS

Clark Home Group: https://clarkhomegroup.com

Steel City Plant Co.: https://steelcityplantco.com

ABOUT STEEL CITY PLANT CO.

Steel City Plant Co. is a one-stop urban plant shop rooted in Bethlehem, PA.
