Northampton<\/strong> County <\/strong>– Lamont McClure and the Northampton County Sheriff\u2019s Department thank Brady\u2019s K9 Fund <\/em>of Strongsville, Ohio for their donation of a level IIIA ballistic vest for K-9 Officer Boomer.<\/p>\n Brady\u2019s K9 Fund <\/em>is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations which raises funds to donate practical, mission-ready ballistic vests to working dogs with the police and military. The retail value of this vest is $1,317.50.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to thank Brady\u2019s K9 Fund <\/em>for this generous donation,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cBoomer is a valued employee and it\u2019s important we have equipment to keep him safe.\u201d<\/p>\n Boomer is a two-and-a-half year old Chocolate lab trained in explosive detection. He began working for the County in July 2019 and is partnered with Sheriff\u2019s Deputy Stephen Tuxhorn to check packages in the mailroom, loading docks and other locations. Boomer has also received his certification as a tracking dog and can be used to find missing persons.<\/p>\n Brady\u2019s K9 Fund <\/em>was founded by Brady Snakovsky, a ten-year-old fifth grader and is operated by his mom, Leah Tornabene, the wife of a police officer.
