United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley invites nonprofit organizations to apply for funding to serve Carbon County residents.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Allentown, PA, January 14, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 To support the community and continue to respond to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) will provide funding to nonprofit organizations providing health and human services to the residents of Carbon County.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are so grateful to the nonprofits serving Carbon County for their dedicated and tireless efforts to support critical needs of our neighbors during an exceptionally trying time. At United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, we\u2019re proud to be part of this community, to invest in its residents and to know that Carbon County agencies will continue to rise to meet the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d said Jill Pereira, Palmerton resident and Vice President, Education and Impact, UWGLV.<\/p>\n Organizations can apply for amounts between $1,000 and $10,000, with the average grant award estimated at $3,000. Funding is available for two years beginning July 1, 2021 to support high-quality, health and education programs and services focused on increasing:<\/p>\n The Invitation for Applications <\/a>is available at www.unitedwayglv.org\/carbon<\/a>, and the deadline to apply using United Way\u2019s online portal is Thursday, February 18, 2021.
