\nBETHLEHEM, PA– Students of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Production Arts Department, will showcase their original designs from concept through construction in a virtual costume gallery event that will launch on January 22, 2021.<\/div>\n <\/p>\n

“Watching students put all of their separate learned skills together into this project has been a great affirmation for our Production Arts program,” says Rae Labadie, Charter Arts’ Artistic Director of Production Arts. “Not only will the audience get to witness our students’ creativity and talent in costume design, but they will see student-made short films that give additional insight into our students’ overall education in Production Arts!”<\/div>\n <\/p>\n
The Charter Arts Production Arts Department focuses on the conceptual, technical, and artistic elements of all designs by working collaboratively to tell a compelling story. Production Arts majors at Charter Arts utilize, develop, and apply their creative skills in a variety of practical applications and contexts. Students explore visual storytelling through the study, design, and construction of sets, costumes, makeup and special effects, props, lighting, projection, and sound. Collaboration is paramount, and students in this major gain hands-on experience supporting the artistic events and programming for all majors at Charter Arts. This major allows students to explore career options in the field, which may include: stage, house, and arts management, design, and technology.<\/div>\n <\/p>\n
