This meeting can be accessed online via the following link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/yyfugh9c\">https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/yyfugh9c<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The approximate 3.7 mile long corridor is located in the northeast corner of Northampton County, in Upper Mount Bethel Township.\u00a0The Corridor\u2019s contiguous 1,100 acres of land is owned or leased by Northampton County, PA Fish &amp; Boat Commission, and The Nature Conservancy includes: Minsi Lake, Bear Swamp and Archery Complex, and Totts Gap Conservation Area.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Today, the Minsi Lake Corridor provides opportunities for fishing, non-motorized boating, hiking, walking, birdwatching, archery and hunting. The corridor is home to a complex network of flora and fauna and environmentally sensitive lands.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe conservation and passive recreational value of these lands are truly remarkable\u201d,\u00a0notes Bryan Cope, Superintendent of the Northampton County Parks and Recreation Division.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cThe creation of this plan gives area residents an opportunity to assist the County in developing a stewardship vision for these lands\u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The County has retained the team of Simone Collins Landscape Architecture of Norristown, PA, and Applied Ecological Services to assist in the preparation of the Greenway and Stewardship Plan. The plan will address the compatibility of outdoor recreation with the conservation of sensitive environmental habitats.\u00a0The consultant team is evaluating an interconnected system of passive recreation improvements, trails, and conservation initiatives.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The County is seeking public participation via public meetings and an online opinion survey. A total of four (4) public meetings will be held throughout the planning process.\u00a0Information will be posted on the County\u2019s website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.northamptoncounty.org\/Pages\/default.aspx\">www.northamptoncounty.org<\/a>\u00a0and Facebook NorCo Parks and Trails.\u00a0Due to COVID-19 restrictions, public meetings will be online until further notice.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/u\/3\/#m_-1730408064446672739_\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">For additional information contact:<\/a><\/div>\n<div>Sherry L.
