SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (March 9, 2021) <\/strong>– KidsPeace has named three new members to its National Board of Directors \u2013 Raymond Carey <\/strong>of Raleigh, NC, Lesley Fallon <\/strong>of Bethlehem, PA and Naomi Yergey <\/strong>of Center Valley, PA. The appointments to the governing board of the non-profit provider of mental and behavioral health services are for three-year terms.<\/p>\n KidsPeace President and CEO Michael W. Slack welcomed the new board members, noting they bring to the position both extensive business experience and a commitment to the organization\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n \u201cLesley, Naomi and Ray are joining our Board of Directors at a critical and exciting time. The COVID-19 pandemic is bringing needed attention to the role that mental health services play in a compassionate society, in large part because COVID is sparking a rise in the need for such services,\u201d he said. \u201cTo meet this increasing demand, KidsPeace is devoting additional resources to strengthen our programs and add new offerings across our Continuum of Care, and we\u2019re looking forward to working with our new and current board members on maximizing the impact our efforts have in the communities we serve,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Background on New Board Members:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWhen a current board member asked me to consider joining, it was an immediate \u201cYes!\u201d To be able to make a positive impact in a child\u2019s life is a wonderful gift.
