The streamed show will take place March 26-28, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Young\u00a0Choreographers\u00a0in\u00a0Concert\u00a0(YCC)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0is the culminating event, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/YCC_2021.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-105882\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/YCC_2021-194x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/YCC_2021-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/YCC_2021-300x464.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/YCC_2021.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/a>final exam, for the Senior Dance Composition course.\u00a0 Each senior student creates original choreography that is cohesively based on a theme of their choosing.\u00a0 \u00a0 They then cast dancers from the freshman, sophomore and junior classes. This year&#8217;s show features twenty-five senior\u00a0choreographers\u00a0and more than 80 dancers.\u00a0\u00a0This year&#8217;s themes are wide-ranging, such as exploring gender norms and how they influence society, the effects of organ donation, tie-dye and \u00a0color psychology, \u00a0the mother\/daughter bond and human fascination with different forms of entertainment, just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>Concert\u00a0director, Amy Berry says, &#8220;YCC is an invaluable opportunity for students to find their creative selves and to see an artistic process through from conception to the stage.\u00a0 A physical and visual expression of the students&#8217; inner feeling and interests that is always an exciting and entertaining surprise to watch!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Evening performances will take place on March 26 &amp; 27 at 7 PM and matinee performances\u00a0on March 27 &amp; 28 at 2 PM.\u00a0\u00a0 Tickets for the show are $6-$11 and can be purchased through Showtix4u.com\/events\/charterarts.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>ABOUT THE LEHIGH VALLEY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS (Charter Arts)<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Charter Arts is an audition-based public charter school that provides a comprehensive curriculum for high school students, grades 9-12, who have a passion for the arts. \u00a0 Students major in one of seven artistic areas: dance, instrumental music, literary arts, production arts, theatre, visual arts, or vocal music.<\/p>\n<p>Charter Arts&#8217; rigorous curriculum fosters both academic and artistic excellence for its students.
