{"id":106486,"date":"2021-04-28T23:01:59","date_gmt":"2021-04-29T03:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=106486"},"modified":"2021-04-28T23:01:59","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T03:01:59","slug":"northampton-county-covers-transportation-costs-for-senior-vaccination-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=106486","title":{"rendered":"Northampton County covers transportation costs for senior vaccination appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>The County of Northampton has arranged to pay transportation costs for residents of Northampton County Housing Authority apartments who are under the age of sixty-five to attend COVID-19 vaccination clinics at Oliver Border House in Nazareth on May 14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and June 11<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Previously, the County\u2019s Area Agency on Aging division (AAA) formed an agreement with LANTA to provide seniors age sixty-five and older to receive free door-to-door trips to and from COVID-19 vaccine appointments.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\u201cArea Agency on Aging is continuing the mission we laid out for them upon taking office,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cTo put it simply, the safety, health and welfare of our seniors comes first at all times.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>AAA will cover the $29.95 cost for younger residents to travel to the vaccine clinic and back.
