The show is one-part cooking, one-part history with a dash of humor and a whole lot of personality and appeals to cooks, history lovers, travelers and anyone who loves watching an adventure. The show currently airs on PBS, Amazon Prime, and the Hungry Channel on Apple TV and Roku streaming devices.<\/p>\n<p>Our newest adventure brings us to Bethlehem, PA where the shows host, Chef Walter Staib will learn farm to table methods and nearly three centuries of history and culture of Bethlehem from its founding as a Moravian community in 1741 to the 21st century.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Staib, a dedicated 18th Century culinary historian, explains the process step by step for viewers to replicate recipes either over an open fire, as he does it, or in their modern kitchens. Staib has also authored, the A Taste of History Cookbook a companion book to the series featuring recipes from the first 10 seasons!<\/p>\n<p>Chef Walter Staib is a third-generation restaurateur with over 50 years\u2019 experience. In 1989 he founded Concepts by Staib, Ltd. which is a globally operating restaurant management and hospitality consulting firm. Staib has been instrumental in opening more than 650 restaurants worldwide. In addition to his seven cookbooks, Staib has made numerous appearances on local and national cooking shows, such as 60 Minutes, the Today show and the Food Network\u2019s \u201cBest Thing I Ever Ate\u201d and \u201cIron Chef.\u201d He currently is the driving force behind the City Tavern in Philadelphia, his adopted hometown!<\/p>\n<p>A Taste of History will be filming at Burnside Plantation on Wednesday, June 16<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021.
