Unwrap the holiday spirit with new events and popular favorites<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Bethlehem, PA (June 2021) – The Christmas City is unwrapping a summer surprise with Christmas in July. \u201cNow that many people are vaccinated and pandemic-related restrictions are lifted, we want to give people who may have missed out on Bethlehem\u2019s Christmas activities last year the gift of holiday fun,\u201d said Downtown Bethlehem Association Manager Tammy Wendling. \u201cIn Bethlehem it\u2019s never too late or too early to celebrate Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n Christmas in July runs from July 1 through July 25 in Historic Downtown Bethlehem. It will feature some holiday favorites like the downtown window decorating contest and Selfie with an Elfie. \n<\/strong>This three day event celebrates the popular Feast of the Seven Fishes Christmas tradition. From July 22-July 24, participating Downtown Bethlehem restaurants will offer special seafood dishes. The special menu offerings will be posted on the Historic Downtown Bethlehem website. On July 24th, some restaurants will offer an extra touch of fest fun. They\u2019ll offer additional grab-and-go items so you can enjoy your feast while you stroll through town enjoying the window displays.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The Snowball Scramble is a festive new event. Players will download a Snowball Scramble Card from the Downtown Bethlehem Association website. Then, they\u2019ll explore the Historic District to find letters hidden in merchants\u2019 windows. They\u2019ll unscramble the letters to reveal a special holiday message. Entrants who get it right earn a chance to win a downtown Bethlehem gift certificate.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Bethlehem is well known for its gorgeous holiday window displays. Browsing the windows is a treasured tradition for many families who enjoy checking out everything from classic old-fashioned holiday tableaus to a modern take with the Grinch sneaking through the scene. It\u2019s also developed into a friendly competition for downtown Bethlehem business owners. Visitors can vote for their favorite windows by scanning QR codes in the windows.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Those Christmas City Elves are back and, as always, their antics are likely to land them on the naughty list. Find those mischievous elves hidden in shops and restaurants all over town. When you take a selfie with one and upload it to social media using #SelfieWithAnElfie, you\u2019ll be entered to win a downtown Bethlehem gift certificate. You can enter as many times as you\u2019d like. The more elves you find, the better your chances of winning.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>On July 24 & July 25, Historic Downtown Bethlehem and the Southside Arts District will host a gift card flash sale for special deals at local businesses. The sale link will be posted at GetDowntownBethlehem.com.<\/p>\n
