Fields, associate attorney at King, Spry, Herman, Freund &amp; Faul, LLC.<\/p>\n<p>Fields has practiced law for ten years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and Juris Doctor degree from University of New Hampshire School of Law. He brings his legal expertise to the Board as well as a commitment to Via\u2019s mission to ensure that people with disabilities reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRyan is a community advocate and is devoted to helping some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We are excited to welcome him to the Via of the Lehigh Valley Board,\u201d said Jerry Somers, board chair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRyan will be a great asset to the Via Board,\u201d Lisa Walkiewicz, president &amp; chief executive officer of Via of the Lehigh Valley stated. \u201cRyan is an advocate for individuals with disabilities and has provided direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He truly understands and is committed to Via\u2019s mission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fields spent many years as a resident \u201cbuddy\u201d for the Indian Creek Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides services to adults and children with disabilities in Bucks and Montgomery counties. He is also a member of the Southern Lehigh Public Library Board of Directors, Family Connection of Easton and the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley. In addition, he regularly spends time volunteering with the Bradbury-Sullivan Legal Clinic.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>About Via of the Lehigh Valley<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Serving our community since 1952, Via helps the people we serve to reach their full potential.\u00a0 In a typical year, Via provides services to 1,250 children and adults with disabilities living in Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Carbon, Monroe and Bucks counties. These services include vocational exploration, community employment, educational activities, volunteer and recreational opportunities for teens and adults and early intervention therapies and inclusive education for young children.
