(Easton, PA, September 22, 2021)\u00a0The Gray Strong Foundation<\/b>\u00a0was recently awarded a community grant for\u00a0$16,000<\/i>\u00a0from well-known Parkinson\u2019s research advocate, the\u00a0Parkinson\u2019s Foundation<\/b>. This community grant will support local health, wellness and educational programs that address unmet needs in the Parkinson\u2019s diseases (PD) community in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
The Parkinson\u2019s Foundation awarded over $2.2 million in community grants to support programs that provide services for diverse and underserved populations, initiatives that reach the newly diagnosed and programs that address mental health.\u00a0 Gray Strong Foundation\u2019s mission is to spread awareness and support to the Parkinson\u2019s community and their loved ones. Funding from the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation will allow the Lehigh Valley based non-profit, the ability to implement programs and provide resources such as monthly\u00a0Moving Forward with Parkinson\u2019s Lecture Series<\/i>,\u00a0Trembling EMT podcasts<\/i>, support groups and newsletters as well as annual fundraising events.<\/p>\n
Eric Aquino and the Gray Strong team will execute much-needed programs to the surrounding Parkinson\u2019s community, filling the gap and lack of current resources via the following initiatives:<\/p>\n

Gray Strong founder, Eric Aquino continues, \u201cThanks to the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation, my dream of helping the Parkinson\u2019s community comes to fruition.\u00a0 My Grandmother suffered from Parkinson\u2019s and I was diagnosed with early on-set Parkinson\u2019s at 40, so working with the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation to raise awareness and provide support to those living with PD is a natural partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n
Programs funded by the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation community grants also include wellness, dance, music therapy and educational programs that help people with Parkinson\u2019s live better with the disease.
