This community grant will support local health, wellness and educational programs that address unmet needs in the Parkinson\u2019s diseases (PD) community in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Parkinson\u2019s Foundation awarded over $2.2 million in community grants to support programs that provide services for diverse and underserved populations, initiatives that reach the newly diagnosed and programs that address mental health.\u00a0 Gray Strong Foundation\u2019s mission is to spread awareness and support to the Parkinson\u2019s community and their loved ones. Funding from the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation will allow the Lehigh Valley based non-profit, the ability to implement programs and provide resources such as monthly\u00a0<i>Moving Forward with Parkinson\u2019s Lecture Series<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Trembling EMT podcasts<\/i>, support groups and newsletters as well as annual fundraising events.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Aquino and the Gray Strong team will execute much-needed programs to the surrounding Parkinson\u2019s community, filling the gap and lack of current resources via the following initiatives:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN\">Moving Forward with Parkinson\u2019s Lecture Series \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b><i><span lang=\"EN\">A monthly webinar (via Zoom<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/GSParkinsonsSeries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/bit.ly\/GSParkinsonsSeries&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1632450995336000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFNMZrSntyfze-vjxUYUs6wOx-A5g\"><i>https:\/\/bit.ly\/<wbr \/>GSParkinsonsSeries<\/i><\/a><\/span><i><span lang=\"EN\">) with featured guests discussing mental health and on-trend topics in the Parkinson&#8217;s Community.\u00a0 Occurs the fourth Thursday of every month.\u00a0 Visit Graystrong,org for guest lineup<\/span><\/i><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b><span lang=\"EN\">Trembling EMT Podcast, My Parkinson&#8217;s Journey &#8211;\u00a0<\/span><\/b><i><span lang=\"EN\">A podcast and blog following Eric Aquino\u2019s journey with Parkinson&#8217;s disease.
