ALLENTOWN, Sept. 30 \u2013 State Reps. Peter Schweyer and Mike Schlossberg, both D-Lehigh, will host a job fair from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at IBEW Local 375, located at 101 South 7th St., Allentown.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we continue the economic recovery from the pandemic, there are several industries right here in our community with good job openings who are looking for workers,\u201d Schweyer said. \u201cMy hope is this event will be a one-stop shop for prospective employees to find the positions which match their skills with these companies.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAcross the region, workers are looking for jobs and employers are looking for workers,\u201d Schlossberg said. \u201cThis job fair is meant to help build bridges so people can find jobs and employers can find workers, and I hope we can help make those connections.\u201d<\/p>\n
Attendees will be able to meet with representatives from the building trades, Civil Service Commission, Lehigh Valley CareerLink and many other organizations and businesses from the greater Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
Both representatives and their staff will also be in attendance to meet attendees and answer any of their state-related questions.<\/p>\n
