\"IMG_1497\"<\/a>Founded in February of 1974 the Trinity Thrift Shop has been a fixture in Hackettstown for over 40 years. With its humble beginnings, a small group of church members held a fund raising sale of donated clothing in the church basement. The sales thrived and expanded into the shop we know and love. The recent addition of the furniture gallery allows area residents to find everything to furnish their home on a budget.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe beauty of the Thrift Shop is the full circle that people can both benefit and contribute. We have volunteers, Centenary interns, donors and contributors that give so much of their time and energy. We also have those in need that use the shop to purchase quality clothing, furniture and housewares. Without even realizing it, the shoppers by virtue of their purchase, are helping the ministry tool\u201d \u2013 Maureen Storey, Executive Director<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilling the dual ministry of providing quality inexpensive goods to the community and helping to fund the good works of Trinity Church, the shop is a town favorite. The funds raised by the shop help support many of the nineteen missions served by Trinity Church. Among others, they include The Lords Pantry, Missions to Haiti, Hope in the Hills and the Interfaith Hospitality Network. These missions reach local, state, regional, national and international people in need.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe especially love that the Thrift Shop is part of the upcycle and repurposing trends, you can be green by rescuing items at the shop and giving them new life\u201d, Ms. Storey went on\u00a0 to say.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
