\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Lamont McClure and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) are proposing $1 million funding for 24 EMS\/Fire departments in Round 2 of 2021 EMS Grants. County Council will vote on the proposed grants at their October 7th<\/sup> meeting.<\/p>\n \u201cOur fire departments and EMS organizations are critical to protecting public health and safety,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cThese grants are important to supply our first responders with the tools and equipment they need to serve the people of Northampton County.\u201d<\/p>\n EMS grants are available to Northampton County professional, volunteer fire and non-profit emergency medical service organizations. They can be used for capital improvements, vehicle purchase, equipment purchase and training.
