The Liberty High School Girls Volleyball team announced that it has made a donation in the amount of $2,000 to Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n

Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA recently held a \u201cPink Out\u201c\u00a0 Volleyball match against cross-town rival Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The event included a basket raffle with donations from various businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley.\u00a0 Sponsors included Pat\u2019s Pizza & Bistro in Bethlehem, and Paranee Properties.\u00a0 With proceeds from the event, the Liberty Hurricanes were able to donate generously to help those fighting Cancer.<\/p>\n

Liberty HS Girls Volleyball Head Coach Connor Swigart said, \u201cThe young women on the Liberty volleyball team encompass the values of hard work and dedication on and off the court.\u00a0 This annual event is a team favorite, and a great opportunity for the girls to give back to our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amanda Buss, Executive Director of Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, was in attendance during the event.\u00a0 \u201cWe couldn\u2019t provide such valuable assistance to people affected by cancer without the kindness and generosity from caring community members.\u00a0 The support from events like Liberty High School\u2019s Pink Out makes an important difference for patients and their loved ones struggling to cope, striving for wellness, and needing resources and guidance\u201d, said Buss.<\/p>\n
