BETHLEHEM, PA– The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Visual Arts Department will present \u201cI, Witness- Observations of Life and Land, in Two Parts\u201d<\/i>\u00a0a photography exhibit featuring the work of Saed Hindash and the work of the school’s photography students in the Charter Arts Corpora Gallery from November 5-20, 2021.<\/p>\n
The exhibit is part of the InVision Photography Festival and will showcase Hindash’s work as the photographer for The Express-Times and\u00a0lehighvalleylive.com<\/a>\u00a0as well as his personal black and white photography. Some student photography will also be featured.<\/p>\n A FREE opening reception will be held on November 5, 2021, from 6-8 PM as part of South Bethlehem’s First Friday celebration.\u00a0 A portion of the proceeds from gallery sales will benefit the school.<\/p>\n Lorie Reinhard, Charter Arts’ Artistic Director of Visual Arts, shares that the value of bringing in professional artists, such as Hindash, provides an important practical component to the visual arts curriculum:\u00a0“We are so proud to host this exhibit as part of our professional series.”<\/span><\/p>\n The Charter Arts Visual Arts Department provides a structured and classical art education. Students are rigorously trained in drawing, painting, sculpture, design, and educated in art history. The goal is to promote a return to excellence in the visual arts through intensive training and the implementation of high standards.<\/p>\n Presented as an academic as well as an artistic pursuit, the courses inspire students to perceive connections between art and other subject areas. Students build upon learned concepts with the intention of gaining mastery, concentration, a strong work ethic, and self-discipline.
