The Whitehall Area Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, is excited to invite you to the Whitehall Area Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 18, 2021!<\/strong><\/p>\n The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, is pleased to present their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, November 18th<\/sup>, 2021, from 5:30-7 PM at the Lehigh Valley Mall.<\/p>\n \u201cThis annual event is a treasured tradition in Whitehall,\u201d said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Assistant Vice President of the Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. \u201cAs the first \u2018official\u2019 tree lighting of the Lehigh Valley\u2019s holiday season, and being located in the heart of the region, the Lehigh Valley Mall has been a strong partner of the Chamber and we look forward to a festive kick-off to the holidays!\u201d<\/p>\n Kicking off the season in true Whitehall style, the event will include live entertainment from 3D Dance Studios, under direction of Danielle O\u2019Brien, as well as musical performances from the Whitehall High School Chorale, directed by Edward Hong. In addition to music and performances, favorite seasonal characters will be making an appearance, such as Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Disney\u2019s Frozen, and local favorites will say hello, too \u2013 such as the Lehigh Phantoms\u2019 MeLVin!<\/p>\n Attendees are encouraged to participate in the basket raffle and local business gift card raffle, proceeds of which will benefit the Lehigh County Humane Society; the non-profit animal shelter serves the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n \u201cThis event is designed to truly bring the holiday spirit to the Lehigh Valley, and the spirit of giving\u201d said Jessica O\u2019Donnell, Executive Vice President of the Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. \u201cIn addition to raising money for the Humane Society through raffles, we are also collecting canned pet food, bags of dry food, pet toys and other items to benefit our furry friends who need extra attention this holiday season.\u201d<\/p>\n Featured in the raffle will be several gift cards from local Whitehall restaurants, sponsored by Giveaway sponsors Lehigh Valley Health Network, First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, and ESSA Bank and Trust. \u201cWith many restaurants still feeling the impact of the pandemic, this is a great way to give back and show our support,\u201d said Cara Butz, of ESSA Bank and Trust and Chair of the Whitehall Area Chamber. \u201cMissing last year due to COVID, we\u2019re beyond grateful for the Whitehall Area Chamber to kick off this event while supporting our local businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n Other complimentary giveaways, such as hot chocolate kits, coloring sheets, and cookies, will also be available for attendees.<\/p>\n For more information or a full schedule of events, follow the event page with Whitehall Area Chamber at: www.facebook.com\/events\/291356136131906<\/a>.<\/p>\n Please note:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.
