{"id":109582,"date":"2021-11-23T15:22:40","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T20:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=109582"},"modified":"2021-11-23T15:22:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T20:22:40","slug":"northampton-county-is-accepting-public-comment-on-the-draft-of-the-minsi-lake-corridor-greenway-stewardship-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=109582","title":{"rendered":"Northampton County is accepting public comment on the draft of the Minsi Lake Corridor Greenway &#038; Stewardship Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Lamont McClure and the Department of Parks &amp; Recreation announce that the County of Northampton is seeking public comment on the draft of the\u00a0Minsi Lake Corridor Greenway and Stewardship Plan.\u00a0The consultant team of Simone Collins Landscape Architecture and Resource Environmental Solutions (RES) has completed the draft\u00a0which addresses the compatibility of outdoor recreation with the conservation of environmentally sensitive lands.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>The plan describes existing conditions, ecological resources, and recreational opportunities.\u00a0Recommendations for infrastructure improvements, accessibility, ecological restoration, trails, and other passive recreational opportunities are provided.\u00a0A climate change impact analysis lists the threats and vulnerabilities to the environmentally sensitive landscape within the Minsi Lake Corridor.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Public comment is open through Monday, December 20, 2021 on the DRAFT\u00a0Minsi Lake Corridor Greenway &amp; Stewardship Plan.\u00a0The plan can be accessed at the Northampton County website Parks and Recreation Division homepage\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.northamptoncounty.org\/PUBWRKS\/PARKREC\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parks and Recreation Home Page (northamptoncounty.org)<\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Comments can be submitted to:<\/div>\n<div>Sherry Acevedo, Conservation Coordinator<\/div>\n<div>Louise W.
