It\u2019s time to get into the holiday spirit because the\u00a0<strong>Squirrel Nut Zippers (SNZ)<\/strong>\u00a0have announced the return of their highly-anticipated\u00a0<strong>Holiday Caravan<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>2021<\/strong>\u00a0tour. Featuring songs from their\u00a0<em>Christmas Caravan<\/em>\u00a0album as well as classic holiday tunes and even a few SNZ hits, the 17-date run will be\u00a0the longest holiday run to-date for the Platinum-selling Jazz rockers.<\/p>\n<p>The tour will begin\u00a0<strong>November 30\u00a0in Asheville, NC<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0<strong>The Grey Eagle<\/strong>\u00a0and conclude in Nashville, TN on December 19. It\u00a0features 10 brand-new tracks \u2013 a combination of newly-penned Zippers songs, along with a few tunes from past times \u2013 and has received acclaim from fans and critics alike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new album was inspired by all of the mysterious characters from the history of New Orleans jazz music,\u201d said band leader Jimbo Mathus. \u201cIt speaks to the hidden roots of where our aesthetic, interests, and philosophy comes from.\u00a0 It pulls on the hidden thread.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to\u00a0<em>Lost Songs of Doc Souchon<\/em>\u00a0, their most recent studio album\u00a0<em>Beasts Of Burgundy<\/em>\u00a0was released in 2018 and debuted at #4 on the Billboard Jazz Albums Chart upon its release.
