BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2013 ArtsQuest is proud to announce\u00a0Five for Fighting<\/a>\u00a0with special guest\u00a0The Verve Pipe<\/a>\u00a0will perform in the\u00a0Musikfest Caf\u00e9<\/a>, presented by Yuengling on\u00a0Wed., July 27<\/strong>. Tickets for this show will go on sale at for\u00a0ArtsQuest members<\/a>\u00a0at 10 a.m.\u00a0Thurs., Feb 17<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Friday Feb. 18<\/strong>\u00a0for the general public at\u00a0steelstacks.org<\/a>. Before finding widespread musical fame with his hockey penalty stage name,\u00a0Five for Fighting<\/strong>, Los Angeles native John Ondrasik first appeared on the glam metal scene in the early 90s through collaborations with Rudy Sarzo and Pat Benatar. As the grunge scene began to expand, Ondraski returned to his piano where he has spent the past decade writing deeply personal songs and making emotional connections spanning six full studio albums. Five for Fighting’s breakthrough came in 2001 with the chart-topping song \u201cSuperman.\u201d Following the acclaim of his Grammy-nominated song, Ondrasik released \u201c100 Years,\u201d “World” and “The Riddle\u201d and has been featured in more 350 films, TV shows and advertisements ranging from\u00a0The Blind Side<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0The Sopranos.<\/em>\u00a0Ondrasik has been deeply involved in supporting the troops with USO tours, supporting several veteran oriented charities and distributing more than a million\u00a0CDs for the Troops<\/em>\u00a0to servicemen and their families around the world.<\/p>\n

The multi-platinum alternative rock band\u00a0The Verve Pipe<\/strong>, is recognized worldwide for radio hits \u201cPhotograph,\u201d \u201cHero,\u201d \u201cHappiness Is,\u201d \u201cNever Let You Down\u201d and the smash single \u201cThe Freshmen,\u201d from its 1996 album\u00a0Villains.\u00a0<\/em>In addition to their success on radio, TV and film, the band has performed in sold-out concerts throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia.
