ArtsQuest is working in partnership with Donegal Square\/McCarthy\u2019s Red Stag Pub to bring the Lehigh Valley exciting new tasting experiences St. Patrick\u2019s Day through Sun., March 20, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

BETHLEHEM, Pa.\u2014\u00a0ArtsQuest<\/a>\u00a0is proud to present Sl\u00e1inte, a celebration of Irish heritage\u00a0Thurs., March 17 through Sun., March 20<\/strong>. This new four-day experience is being produced in partnership with\u00a0Bethlehem\u2019s Donegal Square\/McCarthy\u2019s Red Stag Pub.<\/a>\u00a0The four-day festival will feature traditional whiskey and Guinness tastings along with authentic Irish fare and a Sunday Irish Breakfast. Admission to these events can be purchased now at\u00a0steelstacks.org<\/a>, with select discounted rates and presales for\u00a0ArtsQuest members<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Circle donors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Whiskey tastings<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have a toast to\u00a0St. Patrick\u2019s Day<\/strong>\u00a0at our VIP whiskey tasting at\u00a06 p.m<\/strong>. Sample rare whiskeys Yellow Spot, Redbreast 21, Jameson 18 and Middletown Very Rare 2021 in a Sl\u00e1inte souvenir Glencairn glass sourced from Scotland. Food pairings will be served with each whiskey and the session will end with Irish Cream and shortbread. Patrons will also view an exclusive interview conducted by Neville Gardner, owner\/operator of Bethlehem\u2019s Donegal Square\/McCarthy\u2019s Red Stag Pub, with Tim Campbell of the Saint Patrick Centre in North Ireland, who will be at the site of St. Patrick\u2019s grave.<\/p>\n

Celebrate at\u00a01:30 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Sat., March 19<\/strong>\u00a0with a whiskey tasting session overseen by McCarthy\u2019s Red Stag Whiskey Ambassador Kyle Dalrymple. Sample Jameson Caskmates IPA, Green Spot, Redbreast 12 and Method & Madness Single Pot Still in a Sl\u00e1inte souvenir Glencairn glass sourced from Scotland. The session will finish with an infused Jameson. The VIP session is priced at $149 and regular tastings will be $49.\u00a0ArtsQuest members<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Circle donors<\/a>\u00a0can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.<\/p>\n

Guinness tastings<\/strong><\/p>\n

No celebration is complete without Guinness! For $19, come sample eight different varieties of products at\u00a07:30 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Fri., March 18<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a06:30 p.m<\/strong>. on\u00a0Sat., March 19<\/strong>. Get your pint personalized, quite literally, with your face drawn on the head of a Guinness. Guests will walk away with a full pint of Guinness, along with a special pint glass and Guinness swag.<\/p>\n

Irish Breakfast<\/strong><\/p>\n

Top off the last morning of Sl\u00e1inte with a traditional Irish Breakfast on\u00a0Sun., March 20<\/strong>. McCarthy\u2019s Red Stag Pub and Levy Restaurants, operators of ArtsQuest\u2019s\u00a0Palette & Pour<\/a>\u00a0restaurant, have partnered to present an authentic dining experience. Enjoy Red Stag\u2019s Farl and Irish Soda bread, along with eggs, pork and turkey sausage, white and black puddling, rashers, griddle tomato and potato pancakes. Coffee, tea, water and assorted juices are also included, and the bar will be serving Irish drink specials.<\/p>\n

Festival goers can experience live music all four days from Irish music group\u00a0L\u00fanasa<\/a>\u00a0to Pennsylvania\u2019s own Celtic group\u00a0House of Hamill<\/a>, among others. On Sunday afternoon ArtsQuest will debut the\u00a0First Annual Sl\u00e1inte Fest Youth Fiddle Competition<\/a>.
