The Allentown Rescue Mission relies on this event to restock its pantry for the following year.

Last year COVID-19 forced the Allentown Rescue Mission to make location and procedural adjustments to the drive. The changes to the drive greatly exceeded expectations so the Allentown Rescue Mission decided to duplicate them again this year. Over 70 community sites and hundreds of individual donors collected donations off-site and dropped them off at the Allentown Rescue Mission.

Thanks to the community’s generosity, campaign donations increased 25% over the previous year. The Allentown Rescue Mission collected 62,223 pounds of food and supplies. These donations helped feed and restore men experiencing homelessness throughout the holidays and will continue to feed them this year.

The support of its donors enables the Allentown Rescue Mission to provide shelter, meals, medical care, social services, workforce development classes, and other essential services to homeless men in the Greater Lehigh Valley.
