{"id":111215,"date":"2022-03-01T19:21:17","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T00:21:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=111215"},"modified":"2022-03-01T19:21:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-02T00:21:17","slug":"kidspeace-names-melissa-missy-hartney-director-of-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=111215","title":{"rendered":"KidsPeace Names Melissa (Missy) Hartney Director of Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (March 1, 2022) <\/strong>&#8211; KidsPeace announced that <strong>Melissa (Missy) Hartney <\/strong>has joined its staff as Director of Development, with responsibility for overseeing philanthropic fundraising in support of the provider of mental and behavioral health services for children and families.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Hartney has worked in business development, marketing, event management and fundraising for the past 15 years with organizations like the Allentown Art Museum and the Morning Call. She comes to KidsPeace having most recently served as the Southside Arts District Downtown Manager for the Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Ms. Hartney will manage the organization\u2019s fundraising efforts &#8211; including event planning and execution, the annual KidsPeace donor appreciation effort, direct mail campaigns, and management of donor records. She will also be the key KidsPeace contact for the donor community in the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to welcome Missy to KidsPeace. Her experience and standing within our home community of the Lehigh Valley will be invaluable to our continued efforts to grow donor support for<\/p>\n<p>KidsPeace\u2019s programming in that region and throughout our system,\u201d said Ann McCauley, KidsPeace vice president and KidsPeace Foundation president.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Hartney, a resident of Bethlehem, PA, will be based at KidsPeace\u2019s administrative headquarters in Schnecksville, PA.<\/p>\n<p><em>For 140 years, KidsPeace has been building on its expertise to give hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them. Through its comprehensive range of residential treatment programs; accredited educational services; unique psychiatric hospital and foster care and community-based programs, KidsPeace is dedicated to helping people connect, transform and overcome their challenges to ensure a stable future, transition to adulthood and gain independence.
