Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Lehigh Valley will hold its largest and most exciting fundraiser, \u2018Bowl for Kids\u2019 Sake\u2019 this Spring on Saturday, May 7th<\/sup> at Jordan Lanes in Whitehall.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser was modified in 2021 to a virtual format due to the coronavirus pandemic. Participants registered for a\u00a0Virtual BFKS Trivia Bowl where all funds raised supported the BBBSLV program that empowers kids to realize their full potential.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u2018Strike it BIG for Kids!\u2019 calls for people to create teams of up to five members to bowl in person on Derby Day. Bowlers will\u00a0dress in their Kentucky Derby best with hats and themed colors.\u00a0In keeping with COVID protocols, masks are recommended but not required.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery year, this event raises money to support the work of creating one-to-one relationships that change the lives of the youth in Lehigh Valley forever. says Bartels, CEO of BBBSLV. \u201cWe invite you to\u00a0stand with us\u00a0to support these relationships and the youth that are waiting for a mentor like YOU to make a difference in their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

The funds raised support matches in maintaining connection and growing together as they enjoy simple activities proven to improve a child\u2019s self-esteem, such as\u00a0doing homework, going for walks, trying a new recipe, or shooting hoops. BBBSLV offers committed adults several options for helping a child in their community who deserves a bright and promising\u00a0future.<\/p>\n
