{"id":111659,"date":"2022-04-04T21:20:15","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T01:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=111659"},"modified":"2022-04-04T21:20:15","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T01:20:15","slug":"catasuauqas-streat-fest-returns-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=111659","title":{"rendered":"Catasuauqa\u2019s StrEAT Fest Returns in 2022!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Whitehall Area Chamber is proud to partner with the Borough of Catasauqua and Columbia Care to present the 2022 Catasauqua StrEAT Fest on April 9<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022!<\/p>\n<p>The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, is pleased to bring back Catasauqua StrEAT Fest for its second year on Saturday, April 9<sup>th<\/sup> from 11-3 PM. Partnering with the Borough of Catasauqua and presenting sponsor Columbia Care, this event is designed to support local businesses, while providing a festive atmosphere with live music from Third Hand Acoustic, Kendal Conrad and Social Call Duo, plus dozens of craft and business vendors, and, of course, food trucks. The StrEAT festival will have an emphasis on EAT, bringing lots of great cuisines to Front Street while highlighting local shops, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year\u2019s StrEAT Fest was extremely well received, both as our first festival of the 2021 season and the first festival the Whitehall Area Chamber held \u2018post\u2019 the COVID shutdown. People were ready for spring and ready to be out and about in a fun atmosphere,\u201d said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Assistant Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. \u201cWe\u2019re happy to have been working full steam ahead with the Borough of Catasauqua to support our local businesses and to entice the community to come out for a fun afternoon in 2022!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Festivities will begin at 11 AM on Front Street in Catasauqua, and will feature 10+ food trucks and food vendors, as well as 40+ crafters, local businesses and nonprofit vendors. The festival will also feature live music on two stages \u2013 Third Hand Acoustic (11:30 AM-1:30 PM) and Kendal Conrad (2-3 PM) at the bandshell located at Bridge Street, and Social Call Duo (1-3 PM) at the Gas House Dance Hall (311 Front Street).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been working hand-in-hand with Catasauqua\u2019s borough staff to ensure this event will be a fun event for all who attend,\u201d said Jessica O\u2019Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers. \u201cLast year, we were forced to change plans and pivot frequently, and we\u2019re grateful for much smoother sailing in 2022, much to the credit and support of our local police department and fire police. This festival will bring new visitors to our small businesses and to see the great downtown region of Catasauqua.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Melvin\u2019s Farm Stand will host the YMCA on their property, who will feature a StrEAT Fest Color Run Sprint to provide fun family-oriented entertainment. Businesses like Blondie\u2019s, Qi Spa, Blockers Coffeehouse and Romero\u2019s House of Style will be open for business, allowing festival goers to check out their wares and offerings. Local Taylor House Brewery will offer up adult beverages, as well as Triple Sun Spirits. \u201cBetween the handmade craft items, great food and small businesses, there will be a little bit of something for everyone,\u201d said Adams-Weiss.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost importantly, we are looking to gather safely and enjoy the delicious cuisines our businesses and vendors will be serving up,\u201d said O\u2019Donnell.
