This week-long event is designed to help local residents and visitors from across the Lehigh Valley to discover the unique local dining options that the Whitehall Township and Catasauqua, Coplay and North Catasauqua Boroughs have to offer. Participating restaurants will offer special meals and deals, with both dine-in, take-out and gift card deals available, designed to satisfy a spectrum of palates, budgets and preferences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Whitehall Area Restaurant Week has been running long before the pandemic and will continue long after, but now more than ever, our restaurant community needs our support. We hope this entices the community to eat out and dine local,\u201d said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Assistant Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. \u201cThe Whitehall area is home to an incredibly diverse local restaurant community within our footprint. Whether you participate this week or stop by to support after the fact, we\u2019re grateful for our community\u2019s support in ensuring our restaurants are supported and sustained!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s participating businesses include Catty Corner Pub &amp; Pie, Blocker\u2019s Coffeehouse, Samuel Owens, Chick-fil-A Whitehall, Dunderbak\u2019s Marketplace Cafe, The Burger Shack and Tony\u2019s Top Cat Bar and Grille.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chamber hosts restaurant weeks throughout the Lehigh Valley on a year-round basis,\u201d said Jessica O\u2019Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers. \u201cOur goal is always the same: to shine a spotlight on our local restaurants and to have fun supporting them throughout the week! \u00a0Many people use Restaurant Week to try a new place within the community, or to explore a community they may not even live in. It\u2019s a win-win for all \u2013 we get to enjoy the delicious food, and our businesses benefit from our support!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Specials range in a variety of deals, from take-out to dine-in. For example, Chick-Fil-A Whitehall (located on MacArthur Road) will be offering a $30 (plus tax) deal that will feature a combo including 30-piece nuggets, two large fries, two soft drinks and two brownies. The Burger Shack, located on 1st Avenue in Whitehall, will provide a complimentary $5 gift certificate towards a future purchase for every $25.00 spent during Restaurant Week. Known for their gourmet stuffed burgers and vegetarian and vegan options, they promise to not let you leave hungry.<\/p>\n<p>Dunderbak\u2019s Marketplace Caf\u00e9, located in the lower level Lehigh Valley Mall near Macy\u2019s, will offer a variety of specials including a red pepper bisque, the \u201cTwin Peaks\u201d Tuna Melt, and spinach strawberry salad to name a few, all coming in under $15.
