The $400 covers lodging, meals, medical insurance, workshop materials, and transportation to and from the camp. An additional $20 covers 4-H membership and can be used for other great 4-H opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>4-H Camp,\u00a0<strong>June 27\u2013 July 1, 2022,<\/strong>\u00a0will be a week of fun!\u00a0 What do we do at camp?\u00a0 Meet new people, learn about nature, make a craft, get challenged at paddle boarding, kayaking, or playing human foosball, participate in campfires, swim at the pool, and lots more fun!\u00a0 Our theme for the week is \u201cLet\u2019s Dig It\u201d where we will learn about plants, soil, and where our food comes from.<\/p>\n<p>The facility consists of two cabin areas, each with multiple bunk beds, indoor toilets, and common sitting area.\u00a0 Campers of similar age and gender will be housed together.\u00a0 Trained counselors will be housed in cabin areas and will supervise all activities.\u00a0 A camp director, 4-H Youth Development Extension staff, nurse, and adult volunteer chaperones will be always present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do campers return to 4-H Camp?<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cTo connect with old friends and meet new people.\u201d \u201cFor the Campfires,\u201d \u201cfor the crafts,\u201d \u201cfor the sports!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do parents send their child to 4-H camp?<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cI send my kids to camp to meet new people and enjoy face to face interactions (as opposed to engaging each other through social media\/text messages). The camp experience empowers kids to make their own decisions. As parents, we often take care of many daily responsibilities for our children without even thinking about it. Camp allows each youth to step up and realize their potential in a safe, supervised environment.
