America On Wheels, Allentown is seeking volunteers for our educational Task Force Committee. <\/strong>We are starting May 4th and meetings will be via ZOOM for 60 minutes for 6 months. This is to align educational programs and develop transition plans from elementary, to middle, high and college or technical school. Minimum age 21. Will you speak up for a child who needs you? <\/strong>Lehigh County Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers gather information about the circumstances of children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and\/or neglect. CASA volunteers are sworn officers of the court and visit the child, write reports, and advocate for the child\u2019s best interests. The Comfort Cottage is a program of The Salvation Army Children’s Services where children in foster care visit with their biological families. Days and times are flexible. Though not a big enough project for a group, it is suitable for a family unit. Minimum age 18 or 10 with adult.
