DUE TO RECORD-BREAKING SNOWSTORM, DEADLINE FOR <\/strong><\/p>\n

NOMINATIONS IS EXTENDED TO MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Allentown PA) \u2013January 4, 2016 \u2013 Jane Heft and Susan Rutt, Co-Chairs of Arts Ovation, announce that nominations are now being requested for awards to be presented at the Allentown Arts Commission\u2019s Arts Ovation Awards Presentation on May 10, 2016 (5:30 \u2013 7:30 pm) at the Renaissance Hotel in Allentown, PA.<\/p>\n

The public is invited to submit their nominations in writing or via email in the following categories:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN VISUAL ARTS:<\/em><\/strong> May be an individual and\/or arts organization<\/li>\n
  2. OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN PERFORMING ARTS: <\/em><\/strong>May be an individual and\/or arts organization<\/li>\n
  3. OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN LITERARY ARTS:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>May be an individual and\/or arts organization<\/li>\n
  4. OUTSTANDING SERVICE: <\/em><\/strong>May be an individual or organization who has had a major impact on the arts through exceptional service, volunteerism or leadership<\/li>\n
  5. OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPIST<\/em><\/strong>: <\/em>May be an individual, business, corporation or foundation that has provided extraordinary support for the arts.<\/li>\n
  6. OUTSTANDING TEACHER IN THE ARTS<\/em><\/strong>: <\/em>An individual who has taught the arts in K-12 education or in higher education and had a significant impact on their students.<\/li>\n
  7. EMERGING ARTIST:\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>An award given for an emerging talent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Only fully completed nomination forms will be considered.<\/p>\n

    The established guidelines state the eligibility for awards:\u00a0 arts organizations or individuals whose achievements have had a significant and positive impact on the citizens of Allentown and the quality of life in Allentown\u2019s cultural community.\u00a0 Award recipients will be selected from the nominations received by the Arts Ovation Committee of the Allentown Arts Commission.<\/p>\n

    Nominations must be submitted by no later than February 15, 2016 at 5 pm.\u00a0 Each must contain the name, address, phone number and email of the nominee, as well as the specific category of the nominee.\u00a0 A brief summary is requested stating why the nominee meets the qualifications for the award.\u00a0 Name, address, phone number and email of the nominator are also requested.\u00a0 Applications for nominations are available by emailing Susan Rutt at susanrutt@aol.com or 610-791-3497.
