{"id":112233,"date":"2022-05-15T19:31:50","date_gmt":"2022-05-15T23:31:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=112233"},"modified":"2022-05-15T19:31:50","modified_gmt":"2022-05-15T23:31:50","slug":"capital-blue-cross-awards-50000-grant-to-kidspeace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=112233","title":{"rendered":"CAPITAL BLUE CROSS AWARDS $50,000 GRANT TO KIDSPEACE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capital Blue Cross recently awarded Lehigh County-based KidsPeace a $50,000 educational improvement grant.\u00a0<\/strong>It was the largest of Capital\u2019s latest round of critical donations to the community;\u00a0<strong>the health insurer recently distributed 11 educational improvement grants \u2013 totaling $190,000 \u2013 to regional nonprofits.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Capital\u2019s grant to KidsPeace will go toward the Donley Therapeutic Education Center, part of KidsPeace\u2019s Orchard Hills campus in Orefield.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very grateful to Capital Blue Cross for this generous donation,\u201d said KidsPeace President and CEO Michael Slack. \u201cIt\u2019s a true testament to their commitment to our community and the well-being of the children we help. Each year, the Donley TEC Center provides hundreds of children in KidsPeace\u2019s inpatient and residential programs the opportunity to advance their educational progress while in our care.
