BETHLEHEM, PA \u2013 Via of the Lehigh Valley, Inc., a non-profit agency providing services to people with intellectual and development disabilities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Schaeffer as Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n
Schaeffer joins Via from RKL LLP in Allentown, a professional services firm providing assurance, tax, advisory, wealth management, and IT solutions to businesses and nonprofit organizations.\u00a0 With extensive experience in public and nonprofit accounting, Schaeffer brings internal control, cash management, budgeting, and strategic business planning experience to Via.<\/p>\n
Schaeffer holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Frostburg State University.\u00a0 His education and experience allow him to align accounting strategies with business growth initiatives to scale and shape the future, a particularly needed skill given today\u2019s changing nonprofit business environment. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Schaeffer demonstrated this through building out actionable steps for multiple nonprofits to manage cash, find additional funding and keep programs running at full capacity.<\/p>\n
As a member of Via\u2019s Leadership Team, Luke will provide oversight of the agency\u2019s financial management, analysis, reporting, and strategic planning and execution. He works directly with government administrators, funders, and peer organizations to ensure Via\u2019s growth and success.<\/p>\n
