Performance by Kendal Conrad, special food\/spirit pairings highlight fundraiser for improvements to KidsPeace Lehigh Valley facilities<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (August 11, 2022) <\/strong>– Five extraordinary food and spirit pairings \u2026 a <\/em>performance from one of the Lehigh Valley\u2019s best-loved singer\/songwriters \u2026 and a late-summer sunset in a magnificent setting. <\/em>On the cusp of Summer\u2019s end, KidsPeace welcomes you to sip, savor, and celebrate at our 2nd<\/sup> Annual Sunset Social, August 24th<\/sup> from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the scenic Woodstone Country Club and Lodge in Danielsville.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Proceeds from the event go to support projects sponsored by the organization\u2019s Lehigh Valley Board of Associates to improve the experience of the children in our hospital and residential treatment programs <\/strong>on the Orchard Hills campus in Orefield, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

Guests attending the Sunset Social will enjoy a performance by Kendal Conrad<\/strong>, who has opened for more than three dozen of country music\u2019s hottest stars in concert and whose original compositions have earned her millions of views on TikTok and Soundcloud.<\/p>\n

Attendees also will have their choice among specially crafted food\/spirit pairings<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. Birdie Juice (Bird Dog Peach Bourbon, lemon, simple syrup, and mint) paired with a Grilled Pork Skewer and a Peach BBQ<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Summer Scramble (tequila, Dolin Blanc, lemon, hibiscus syrup, simple syrup) paired with an Antipasto Skewer (Provolone cheese, Salami, Tomato)<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Lonesome Dove (vanilla vodka, Aperol, lemon, simple syrup, sparkling wine) paired with a Raspberry and Brie in Phyllo<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Summer Beer (chef\u2019s choice) paired with Sweet Potato Skins (Bacon, Green Onions, and Cheese)<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Sparkling Ros\u00e9 paired with Strawberry Shortcake (pound cake, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A \u201cwine wall\u201d and raffle will add a note of good fortune to the evening, which is scheduled<\/p>\n

    to conclude with a sunset to remember over the beautiful setting of Woodstone <\/strong>(weather permitting, of course\u2026).

    Each year, KidsPeace helps thousands of children and families get the mental health treatment they need through our Children\u2019s Hospital and Pennsylvania residential services. Funds raised from the Sunset Social go directly to repairs of the Children\u2019s Hospital gym floor, repairs to the roof of our Recreation Pavilion, and the installation of two outdoor gazebos <\/strong>for family visits, therapy sessions, and outdoor classes.<\/p>\n
