This inaugural awards program was created in 2022 and is a project of <em>Lawn &amp; Landscape<\/em> and Best Companies Group.<\/p>\n<p>This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment, benefiting the industry&#8217;s economy, its workforce, and businesses. The <strong>2022<\/strong> <strong><em>Best Landscape and Lawn Care Companies to Work For<\/em><\/strong> list is made up of <strong>10 <\/strong>companies and <strong><em>New Castle was ranked #2!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese companies exemplify the professionalism and excellence that the industry can provide,\u201d says Brian Horn, editor, Lawn &amp; Landscape magazine. \u201cLawn &amp; Landscape is proud to acknowledge these businesses and tell some of their stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have 50% or more of revenue coming from landscaping services, which includes maintenance, chemical lawn care, irrigation, design\/build, hardscapes, tree care and interior landscaping, landscape lighting<\/li>\n<li>Be a publicly or privately held business<\/li>\n<li>Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business<\/li>\n<li>Be based in the U.S. or Canada<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in the U.S. or Canada<\/li>\n<li>Must be in business a minimum of 1 year<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to be featured in <em>Lawn &amp; Landscape<\/em> magazine in print and\/or online, if your company ranks on the <em>Best Landscape and Lawn Care Companies to Work For<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Companies in the industry entered the two-part process to determine the <strong><em>Best Landscape and Lawn Care Companies to Work For<\/em><\/strong>. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company&#8217;s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
