Tours are on offer Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays\u00a0<strong>September 23 through October 30, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Walking tour guests will take a trip back in time to explore the dark history of\u00a0Easton, Pennsylvania. They will meet their\u00a0<strong>cloaked guide<\/strong>\u00a0at the Sigal Museum at 342 Northampton Street and be led through the streets of downtown, historic Easton by\u00a0<strong>lantern light<\/strong>. They will hear stories about\u00a0<strong>true crimes and actual historic events\u00a0<\/strong>that took place in the community. A few of the ten historic stories include the tale of\u00a0<strong>Hexenkopf Hill<\/strong>\u00a0and the witches who are rumored to use the glowing rock to fuel their spells. Guests will learn about the\u00a0premonitions that warned Thomas Bishop about the\u00a0<strong>explosion of the Alfred Thomas steamboat<\/strong>\u00a0that killed 12 people on the Delaware River.<\/p>\n<p>New for the 2022 tour are additions including the story about Charles Cullen, a serial killer who terrorized the Lehigh Valley and\u00a0<strong>now featured in Netflix\u2019s new release: \u201cThe Good Nurse\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Executive Director Megan van Ravenswaay, \u201cWe trust that our\u00a0Eerie\u00a0Easton\u00a0walking tour guests will enjoy getting spooked by the historic stories that actually took place right here in\u00a0Easton. Each true story was taken from the records and documents housed in our NCHGS archives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eerie\u00a0Easton\u00a0tours will be offered September 23 \u2013 October 30, 2022 6 and 7:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 5pm Sundays. Tours last approximately 1.5 hours. Tickets are $15 and FREE for NCHGS members.
