Anyone who wants to vote by mail, must apply by 5:00PM on November 1<sup>st<\/sup>. Applications for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballots are available in the Election\u2019s Office or at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001odzyLiWa73ra31--S__Y1HxnbaySQlJwO12y0JiuiuWJlxWBldOOTNC7woSXww7-0jvBTXAJYXbYH_Fe6r-qXEabFXgMN6eg1zmkTUGTHbtQgd_WbNeIbDYk6mom6Ths39yhOkyHYvTm5mwNNPZQfQ==&amp;c=8LGqLezn9uO6WOPkSWs7k0jDIzGoDVPPKN5OGbbeT2T1NTMXFAamJA==&amp;ch=3NvERPOLWO_U8ibOHLu-7SBoiYnIG1cq7NQ-pUX-mNqrenvxejBzzw==\">www.vote.pa.gov<\/a>\u00a0Voters can check the status of their ballot at that website.<\/p>\n<p>Mail-in ballots must meet the following criteria to be counted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ballot must be sealed inside the secrecy envelope<\/li>\n<li>If the secrecy envelope contains any text, marks or symbols which reveals the identity of the elector, the elector\u2019s political affiliation or the elector\u2019s candidate preference, the envelope and the ballot it contains will be set aside and declared void<\/li>\n<li>The voter must sign and date the outer return envelope<\/li>\n<li>The ballot must be received by the Elections Office by 8:00PM on November 8<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Voters can return mail-in ballots by bringing them directly to the Elections Office at the Government Center at 669 Washington Street, Easton, PA, by using one of the county\u2019s four secure ballot drop-off boxes or through the U.S. mail. Church Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0Monday \u2013 Friday from 8:00AM \u2013 4:00PM<\/p>\n<p>Voters may only drop off their own ballots. Third party return of ballots is prohibited unless the person returning the ballot is rendering assistance to a disabled voter or emergency absentee voter and has a signed \u201cCertification of Designated Agent\u201d form. A copy of these forms can be downloaded at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vote.pa.gov\/\">vote.pa.gov<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Counterfeiting, forging, tampering with or destroying ballots is a second-degree misdemeanor pursuant to sections 1816 and 1817 of the PA Election Code.
