EASTON, PA\u2014 Organizers of the free local event Easton Book Festival have invited Parisian Phoenix publisher and author Angel Ackerman and Kink Noir author William D. Prystauk to anchor a panel, Sex in the Text, at Centre Square\u2019s Book and Puppet Company Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Former local journalist Angel Ackerman pens the Fashion and Fiends series, paranormal urban fantasy books which highlight many familiar Lehigh Valley settings. William D. Prystauk, a screenwriter and former English professor at Kutztown University, writes the mystery\/BDSM erotica series Kink Noir. Local poets and fellow Parisian Phoenix authors Nancy Scott and Darrell Parry will read their work in the same location, also on Oct. 22, at 5 and 6 p.m. respectively.<\/p>\n

The fourth annual Easton Book Festival, a free community event happening live and online from October 21-30 in multiple venues throughout Easton, Pennsylvania.\u00a0The event features more than 120 authors, booksellers, artists, entertainers, workshops and panelists.<\/p>\n

\nLocal storyteller and member of Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, Larry Sceurman, will debut his first novella, The Death of Big Butch, this fall. He will also present \u201cScary Stories for Adults\u201d at Memorial Library of Nazareth, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. The program is free, but reservations are required.<\/p>\n

Hopefully coming next week (mid October), Parisian Phoenix will debut its fundraising book, The FURR Itty Bitty How-to-Cat Book, to benefit local rescue Feline Urban Rescue and Rehab. That book also includes an essay by former Morning Call crime reporter, Laurie Mason Schroeder, who now owns Purr Haus in Emmaus and a preview chapter of Bethlehem novelist Seneca Blue\u2019s new manuscript.<\/p>\n
