Cedar Street.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2012, the \u201cCatch a Young Person Doing Something Right\u201d campaign is a way to recognize the numerous young people who contribute to the well-being of Allentown.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mayor Ed Pawlowski, \u201cAllentown is fortunate to be served by many enthusiastic individuals.\u00a0 The eagerness to help those in need extends beyond committed adults to our young residents too.\u00a0 I am pleased to recognize these young people and thank the adults who took the time to bring them to our attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The students are feted at a catered awards dinner sponsored by LifeChurch.\u00a0 They will receive certificates from the mayor.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Winners are honored according to age groups in the following categories: Volunteerism<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 for assisting someone or improving a neighborhood or the community in general.\u00a0<strong>Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 for doing more than following the rules, such as making a good decision even when peers chose otherwise. For showing leadership skills, critical thinking, problem solving, maturity or conflict resolution.\u00a0<strong>Scholarship<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Notable academic improvement and or academic excellence.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2><strong>Category for 7 \u2013 10 year olds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Volunteerism<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Girl Scout Junior Troop 6408 \u2013\u00a0<strong>(8)<\/strong>\u00a0they are: November Barton-Moore, Fatima Chehouri, Tessa Dejesus, Arianna Green, Caitlynn Hodge,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Anneliese Kloiber, Amelia Michener, Katelyn Smoyer<strong>, <\/strong>Patrick O&#8217;Keefe<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Going Above &amp;
