The day will begin at 10am with a commemoration ceremony hosted by the Steelworkers Veterans Memorial Committee on the Museum\u2019s plaza. The commemoration ceremony will include a performance by the Broughal Middle School Band as well as remarks from various distinguished guests. Special keynote speakers will be Commander Sandra D. Thomas and Chief Warrant Officer Andrew T. Boyer of the U.S. Navy Reserve.<\/p>\n<p>Veterans and their families receive free admission to the museum from 10am to 5pm. Visitors will have a chance to see a circa 1940s Service Banner from Bethlehem Steel Brass Foundry Welfare Room from the Museum\u2019s collection on display in the NMIH lobby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are privileged to have the Steelworkers Veterans Memorial as a feature of the Museum\u2019s Plaza and honored to have the Steelworkers Veterans Memorial Committee host this important commemoration ceremony each year,\u201d said NMIH President &amp; CEO Kara Mohsinger. \u201cThanks to our generous sponsors Hank and Joanne Barnette and Kaplan\u2019s Awning, we are able to welcome veterans and their families free of charge as a way to thank them for their service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>About NMIH<\/p>\n<p>A Smithsonian Institution-affiliate, the National Museum of Industrial History is dedicated to preserving America\u2019s rich industrial heritage.
