ArtsQuest with media partner B104 are excited to announce that multi-platinum hit makers\u00a0AJR<\/strong>\u00a0will bring their one-of-a-kind musical style to the Wind Creek Steel Stage\u00a0Friday, Aug. 4<\/strong>. Re-envisioning what pop can be in the 21st century, AJR unassumingly emerged as a ubiquitous hit-making outlier and one of the biggest indie bands in the world. Since 2012, the multiplatinum indie-pop Metzger brother trio \u2014 Adam (bass, vocals), Jack (vocals, guitar) and Ryan (ukulele, piano, vocals) \u2014 have generated billions of streams, topped the Billboard, Alternative and Rock charts all while earning multi-platinum status.<\/p>\n

Cemented as part of the modern zeitgeist, Spotify dubbed the trio\u2019s hit \u201cSober Up\u201d featuring Weezer\u2019s Rivers Cuomo among the \u201cBest Rock Songs of the 2010s,\u201d while Apple Music included \u201cWeak\u201d on its \u201cBest Alt Songs of the 2010s.\u201d To this day AJR remains one of the \u201c500 Most-Listened to Artists\u201d on Spotify.<\/p>\n

On the heels of 2019\u2019s Neotheater, they dropped the 2020 platinum blockbuster single \u201cBANG!\u201d performing the smash hit on TODAY, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and even at the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now, the band open their world like never before on their fourth full-length album, \u201cOK ORCHESTRA\u201d featuring the singles \u201cWay Less Sad,\u201d \u201cBummerland\u201d and \u201cMy Play.\u201d<\/p>\n

A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 40th Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 4 \u2013 13, 2023. This year\u2019s Musikfest 2023 poster artist is Allentown-based family Maltas Con Leche.
