Wind Creek Steel Stage to transform into comedy hot spot Thursday, Aug. 10<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2013 ArtsQuest and media partners B104, 95.1ZZO and La Mega Radio are ecstatic to announce Musikfest 2023 will transform into the funniest festival on the East Coast when\u00a0Gabriel\u201d Fluffy\u201d Iglesias<\/a>\u00a0brings his show \u201cBack on Tour\u201d to the Wind Creek Steel Stage\u00a0Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023<\/strong>. Member ticket access begins\u00a0Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m.,<\/strong>\u00a0with remaining tickets on sale to the public at\u00a0musikfest.org<\/a>\u00a0beginning at 10 a.m.\u00a0Friday, Jan. 13.<\/strong>\u00a0For more exclusive ticket access and advance purchase opportunities, become an\u202fArtsQuest Circle donor<\/a>\u202ftoday.<\/p>\n

Gabriel \u201cFluffy\u201d Iglesias is one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians performing to sold-out concerts around the world. The youngest of six children, Iglesias was raised by a single mother in Long Beach, Calif. As the baby of the family, he developed his strong sense of humor to deal with the challenges he faced. Iglesias\u2019s comedic storytelling style mixes parodies, characters and sound effects that bring his personal experiences to life onstage.<\/p>\n

Iglesias stars and produces \u201cMr. Iglesias,\u201d the multi-cam, Netflix comedy series, playing a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater teaching gifted, but misfit, children. In 2020, the show won best Primetime Comedy at The Imagen Awards, which recognizes positive portrayals of Latinx actors\/actresses in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

Iglesias also worked with Netflix to release two comedy specials, 2019\u2019s \u201cOne Show Fits All,\u201d with the second slated to premiere later this year. He\u2019s one of a few comedians to have a theatrically released stand-up concert comedy film, \u201cThe Fluffy Movie\u201d and has been featured in the Magic Mike films, \u201cA Haunted House 2\u201d and in voice form for \u201cSpace Jam: A New Legacy,\u201d \u201cCoco,\u201d \u201cUgly Dolls,\u201d \u201cThe Star\u201d and \u201cFerdinand.\u201d Iglesias has been featured on several small screen projects including \u201cFluffy\u2019s Food Adventures,\u201d \u201cStand-Up Revolution,\u201d \u201cCristela,\u201d and \u201cModern Family.\u201d Iglesias has released stand-up specials \u201cGabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy,\u201d \u201cHot & Fluffy\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m Not Fat… I\u2019m Fluffy.\u201d<\/p>\n

A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 40th Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 4\u201313, 2023. This year\u2019s Musikfest 2023 poster artist is Allentown-based family Maltas Con Leche. Previously announced headline shows include Maren Morris Saturday, Aug. 12, Goo Goo Dolls Wednesday, Aug. 9., country duo Dan + Shay Sunday, Aug. 6., and indie-pop trio AJR Friday, Aug. 4.
