On the heels of their successful 2022 35th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary Tour, seminal six-time Platinum rockers\u00a0Blues Traveler\u00a0<\/strong>have announced a series of 2023 shows to coincide with the\u00a0impending release of their\u00a0Live and Acoustic: Fall of 1997<\/em>\u00a0limited edition, double EP (Spring 2023).\u00a0Tickets for the \u201cBlues Traveler 2023 Tour\u201d go on sale Friday, January 27 and can be purchased at\u00a0<\/strong>https:\/\/bluestraveler.com\/tour\/<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spring tour will kick off\u00a0Tuesday, April 25<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Fox Theatre\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0Hutchinson, KS\u00a0<\/strong>and run through the end of May, culminating at the\u00a0Flying Monkey<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Wednesday,<\/strong>\u00a0May 24<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Plymouth, NH.<\/strong>\u00a0During the shows, the band will perform a\u00a0bevy\u00a0of songs\u00a0spanning\u00a0more than three decades and 14 hit albums \u2013 including the iconic\u00a0four<\/em>, which went six-times Platinum and spawned the definitive\u00a0\u201cRun-Around\u201d (garnering their first Grammy\u00ae<\/em>\u00a0Award).<\/p>\n

Audiences can also expect to hear the band\u2019s Billboard-topping smash singles like \u201cHook\u201d and \u201cBut Anyway,\u201d as well as their new,\u00a0jam-infused renditions of some of their favorite classic blues songs, originally recorded by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Freddie King, Big Mama Thornton, and Little Willie John.<\/p>\n

Blues Traveler will also be promoting their forthcoming\u00a0spring 2023 release of\u00a0Live and Acoustic: Fall of 1997<\/em>, which is a selection of highlights from the ensemble\u2019s legendary tour 25-years-ago. The 25th-anniversary limited edition double LP will include unreleased,\u00a0remastered material from the initial two-track soundboard recordings. Amongst the tracks on the upcoming drop are fan favorites and some of the band\u2019s best-known material like \u201cRun-Around,\u201d \u201cBut Anyway\u201d and \u201cThe Mountains Win Again,\u201d\u00a0interspersed\u00a0with several deep cuts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis EXCLUSIVE limited-edition double LP is a selection of many of the highlights from our legendary\u00a01997 fall\u00a0tour that produced the only acoustic sets that\u00a0the original line up of Blues Traveler, including our beloved friend and bassist, Bobby Sheehan\u00a0ever played on tour,\u201d said\u00a0Guitarist Chan Kinchla. \u201cThese previously unheard and uncirculated tracks are remastered from the original 2-track soundboard recordings for the ultimate Blues Traveler live and acoustic experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0tour that spawned the\u00a0album\u00a0came\u00a0after the success of Blues Traveler\u2019s October 1997 performance at Neil Young\u2019s Bridge School benefit, where the band delivered two entirely acoustic shows. Inspired by the magic they created, the group integrated mini acoustic sets between their first and second electric frames during their 1997 Fall\u00a0tour.<\/p>\n

Live and Acoustic: Fall of 1997<\/em>\u00a0captures moments from the band\u2019s historic acoustic performances, with the release doubling as a 25th-anniversary celebration of the ensemble\u2019s late-\u201990s live delivery.
