{"id":116115,"date":"2023-02-16T22:51:13","date_gmt":"2023-02-17T03:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=116115"},"modified":"2023-02-16T22:51:13","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T03:51:13","slug":"lehigh-valley-wine-trails-annual-wine-shine-lehigh-valley-passport-event-moves-from-march-to-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=116115","title":{"rendered":"LEHIGH VALLEY WINE TRAIL\u2019S ANNUAL WINE &#038; SHINE LEHIGH VALLEY PASSPORT EVENT MOVES FROM MARCH TO APRIL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><u>Social Still distillery joins event for first time.<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>LEHIGH VALLEY, PA \u2013 <em>February 16, 2032<\/em> \u2013 A move from March to April and a new distillery partner is what passport holders have to look forward to this year for the annual Wine &amp; Shine Lehigh Valley program by the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail.<\/p>\n<p>The 2023 passport program features the five member wineries of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail partnered with two local distilleries \u2013 Wardog Spirits and Social Still. Passports entitle the holder to one food and beverage pairing (wine or spirits) at each of the seven participating venues over the three weekends of the event, as well as a complimentary tasting of three beverage samples at each location. They also receive a special gift \u2013 a logoed picnic blanket that rolls up into its own carrying handle.<\/p>\n<p>Event dates are April 15 &amp; 16; 22 &amp; 23; and 29 &amp; 30. Event hours are Saturdays from 11 am to 5 pm, and Sundays from noon \u2013 5 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Passports are $39 and are sold online thru EventBrite until Friday, April 7 at noon. They are also available for sale at all seven participating venues (cash only) while supplies last. Approximately 400 of the original 1,000 passports remain for sale. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wineandshinelv.com\">www.wineandshinelv.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Participating venues include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Black River Farms, Bethlehem (same location as WarDog Spirits)<\/li>\n<li>Blue Mountain Vineyards, New Tripoli<\/li>\n<li>Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor<\/li>\n<li>Social Still, Bethlehem<\/li>\n<li>Tolino Vineyards, Bangor<\/li>\n<li>Vynecrest, Breinigsville<\/li>\n<li>WarDog Spirits, Bethlehem (same location as Black River Farms winery)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail is a 501c6 nonprofit organization of wineries whose mission is to promote agri-tourism and to create a premiere wine destination and grape growing region while promoting Pennsylvania wines from the region. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lehighvalleywinetrail.com\">www.lehighvalleywinetrail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>2023 FOOD AND BEVERAGE PAIRINGS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Black River Farms<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Chicken Massaman Curry by feast catering will be paired with Tilly, a dry white blend wine.<\/p>\n<p>The Bethlehem winery will have live music from 2-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n<p><u>Blue Mountain Vineyards<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The winery\u2019s Merlot will be paired with a chicken parmigiana slider.<\/p>\n<p><u>Franklin Hill Vineyards<\/u><\/p>\n<p>A torte made with Sir Walter\u2019s jelly and peanut butter will be paired with Sir Walter\u2019s red wine.
