Oster <\/strong>has been named to its Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-116363 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image006-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image006-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image006-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image006-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image006.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Mr. Oster is a certified public accountant who served as Chief Executive Officer of Concannon, Miller &amp; Co., P.C. of Bethlehem, PA from 1998 until his retirement in 2016. As CEO Mr. Oster oversaw Concannon, Miller\u2019s business development, day-to- day management, and community involvement activities in addition to managing a portfolio of client accounts in the nonprofit, manufacturing and employee benefit plan sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no question that Bob Oster is among the Lehigh Valley\u2019s leading citizens, and to have him join the KidsPeace Foundation\u2019s Board of Trustees is tremendous for our organization,\u201d said Ann McCauley, President of the KidsPeace Foundation. \u201cHis extraordinary financial background and demonstrated dedication to the support of non-profit organizations in our home region will be vital to the Foundation\u2019s efforts in the years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Oster noted that he brings to his trustee role a historical appreciation of KidsPeace\u2019s mission as a result of previous experiences with the organization: \u201cI thought it was important for me to engage with the Foundation to increase funding resources to further KidsPeace\u2019s efforts to aid children with mental and behavioral health challenges. I<\/p>\n<p>also hope to seek out partnerships with related organizations to improve and expand the services available in the communities served by KidsPeace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A native of Cleveland, Mr. Oster is a 1973 graduate of Ohio University. Over the last four decades, in addition to his roles at Concannon, Miller, he has served in leadership positions on numerous non-profit boards \u2013 including Minsi Trail Council-Boy Scouts of America, St. Luke\u2019s Hospital, Northampton Community College, Lehigh University\u2019s Small Business Development Center, Via of the Lehigh Valley, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and ArtsQuest.<\/p>\n<p>The KidsPeace Foundation was created in 2017. Its purpose is to strengthen KidsPeace\u2019s connection to donors and potential donors, improve management of donated resources, cultivate and secure major gifts to support programming in a sustainable manner, and oversee the work of the KidsPeace Boards of Associates in their particular support activities. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kidspeace.org\/foundation\">www.kidspeace.org\/foundation<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Since 1882, KidsPeace has been building on its expertise to give hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them. Through its comprehensive range of residential treatment programs; accredited educational services; unique psychiatric hospital and foster care and community-based programs, KidsPeace is dedicated to helping people connect, transform and overcome their challenges to ensure a stable future, transition to adulthood and gain independence.
